Needtovent.com has been requested to help select The Best Alien Invasion Film Of All Time. This is a task we thoroughly embrace, and we hope that all of our readers will assist in the selection process.

One thing that needs to be emphasized is that this contest is a two-tier procedure. In the first wave of voting you will be asked to select the Best Alien Invasion Film released in the 1950s. This was the Golden Age of Hollywood Sci-Fi and ten extremely worthy titles have been nominated for this prestigious honor. Likewise, a listing of ten Alien Invasion Films produced in the 1970s, 80s, 90s and beyond will be presented as well. The winner from this span of almost four decades will then compete head-to-head with the 1950s champion for the coveted title.

Also, we would like to take this opportunity to announce that we will
soon be posting a smackdown between the original, classic 1951 version of
THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL and the newbie which opens on Friday, December 12th. Although Vegas odds makers have established the original film as a heavy 5-1 favorite, stranger things have happened.
